Join us at Monte Lupo Studio and make your own Tree Decorations in your own design! Suitable for ages 16+
About this Event
The classes will be held on Saturday 30th November. The Monte Lupo studio is at 269 Padstow Rd, Eight Mile Plains, behind the Monte Lupo Café.
Saturday 30th November 9am- 3pm
The day will be structured as making and decorating.
Morning - each person will be provided with 3 cone shapes of various sizes that you will shape, cut, embellish and carve. To make each one your very own creation.
Afternoon - in the afternoon you will be painting you Christmas trees with underglaze colours and slip. You will be show several decorating techniques including, carving back through the underglaze or slip.
Please note - we do not provide every underglaze colour available. If we do not have colours, you want then you are more than welcome to go to Pottery Supplies in Milton to purchase your own colours. The colours we do provide most of the time: Mango, Papaya, Black White, Galah, Brick Red, Azure, Aegean, Hot Orange, Grey, Reef Gold, Purple, Mint Green. Daffodil Yellow, Vic Green, Pacific, Forest, Jungle, Cream, Butter. Sometimes we do run out of some colours.
Your pieces will take approximately 2 weeks to fire and for you to be able to come and pick up. we will not be contacting each person to come and pick up. It is up to you to come after 2 weeks
By booking this workshop, you agree to Monte Lupo’s Workshop Guidelines:
1. All workshops are to be pre-booked and paid in advance through the Monte Lupo Online Shop.
2. If Monte Lupo needs to postpone or cancel the workshop, you will be notified of the change and makeup classes be offered at a time convenient for the majority of the students or during other workshop sessions. Cancellation of a workshop will only occur if there is venue/ equipment, staffing or material issues.
3. Your piece will be handled and fired by our staff with the utmost care. However, if breakages or kiln related mishaps occur, they will be repaired by our skilled staff. If it cannot be repaired, you will be offered an opportunity to make a new piece during studio time at no additional cost.
4. If you do not provide your email address when booking online you will not receive and email confirmation the week of the workshop.
