We do not stock every underglaze colour in our workshop decorating kits, as there are hundreds of different colours and are very expensive. We only buy the colours the studio wants to use so this does vary all the time. We do use a combination of Walkers and Deco colours. We carry on main colours of blues, greens, yellow, orange, black, white, brown and brick red.
All workshop pieces are usually fired and out of the kilns 2 weeks after the workshop has ended. If there is a problem with your workshop piece, we will contact the maker and advise of any issues that may have arisen. All the finished pieces are stored in the Monte Lupo studio reception area, not in the studio. Students are to freely come to collect their pieces during hours of operation. M-F 7:30am-3:30pm , Sat 10am-1pm. It is also advised that you bring your own boxes and packaging material to take your pottery pieces home with you.
Most of our pottery classes require you to have no experience. Our facilitators will guide you through the entire making process so it is catered to beginners. Very few of our workshops require previous experience. If the workshop does require this prerequisite, it will be clearly stated in the description of the class.
No, you do not need to bring any tools to the workshop only your enthusiasm and creative ideas. Everything required for the classes is provided.
Arriving on time or even 15 minutes early means we can start the classes on time. As there is so much to learn in the allocated time, we really need to start on time. We try and be a flexible as possible when people miss a class and do offer other times for you to come in and finish your sculptures. However these make up sessions are not usually during working hours, it is often after hours or on a Friday.

Please do not ring the café as they are busy serving customers and preparing yummy food for everyone to enjoy. The café is not the studio and they will not be able to assist with any studio enquiries. If no one answers the studio phone, please leave a message and we will get back to you. This just means we are busy working on the studio floor making lots of new products for you to see.
We do not start a customer order until a deposit has been paid. From this time, we advise that an order will take up to 8 weeks to complete. We will advise if the order is going to be finished sooner. We require a 50% down payment before production commences, and we will require full payment prior to the order being pick up.

No, you do not need to book for a paint your own. You can just turn up and pay on the day. You then choose what type of pottery you want to paint. We provide all materials needed for the Paint Your Own, but keep in mind this is self guided class. You determine how long it takes to paint your pieces (as long as it’s during our opening hours.) You do not have an instructor with you. We will then fire you piece and it will be ready for pick up 2 weeks after you painted it. You will be able to pick up your piece form the Monte Lupo studio reception area.
